What am I talking about? Why all of these players suspensions of course. However, they did get one of them wrong. I'm almost sure everyone knows which one I'm talking about. Buttttttttttttt, just in case you don't know, I'm talking about Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings.
I was told by my son, J.T Green, that he was suspended for spanking his child with a tree branch. Back in my day it was called a "switch".
Like I said before, the NFL got this one wrong, according to the Bible.
Although their are a lot of interesting scriptures on the subject, I will only share A few.
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained.
Proverbs 13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
Proverbs 22:15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.
Proverbs 23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: Proverbs 19:18 Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a party to his death.
I am not suggesting child abuse, we are all adults here and we can decipher between a spanking and abuse.
Like I stated in the beginning, the NFL got one wrong!!!!
My prayers are with you Adrian Peterson!!!
I agree totally with this blog
