I Must Be Dying!!!!

Okay, I know we all have to die eventually. But I must be dying sooner than I thought.  Amber, my 13 year old daughter, "CLEANED OUT THE MICROWAVE, WITHOUT ME TELLING HER TO CLEAN IT!!!!"

I'm dying right???? How else can anyone explain that phenomenal task?!! I asked her why and she said, (get this everyone)  "my food spilled."  She actually said that as if this is the fist time in her 13 years that she has spilled food in the microwave.

She then rolls those gorgeous eyes of hers and has a look like whatever!! Mom!! She just doesn't get my fascination with what she has accomplished on her own today.

Soooo........................... my question is "what's up with that? Is she changing? Will I see more of this from her? Will General Hospital ever show us Jason? (opps sorry, wrong blog) Will she take out the garbage today as well???? Well I know she's going to take it out but; Will she do it on her own???

My Good News I received Today!!

Hello everyone, I received some very good news today!! My son Jonathan said my g-baby Janaya is visiting again in December!!

Yeah! Yeah! and "YEAH".  Hopefully I will have two new books to read to her. My book titled, "You Can Make Halloween About God" (coming soon), and her Uncle Austin's new book: "We Don't Like Halloween." Of course we still have to read her favorite book: "The Adventures Of Janaya And Me", written by her Dad.

The Wisdom Of A 13 Year Old!! Amber's thoughts on being "Boy Crazy"

My, daughter Amber, told me today that she is a little "boy crazy".  She went on to say, "Don't worry Mom, I have to stay focused on my academics."

I know their are some of you who may not believe her, but I do.  I'll tell you why. When Amber was 8 years old she was skating and fell down and chipped both her two front top teeth.  In between her snobs she uttered, "Now I will never be able to go to prom, get married and have kids.

My son Austin and I were amazed, that through the bloody skinned knees and mouth, she was concerned about prom, marriage and kids.

I have a lot more stories like the above one throughout the years, but she always end her "boy crazy" statements with, "I have to concentrate on my education", and she has.........................

I think she is a wise teenager.

I also pray that she remain that wise until she finishes college.  What???!!!! It's possible!!!!

A Class Act!!!!

My son Austin's 11th grade teacher, Dr. Sorrels, is still proving to be a class act!! She is the first one to order his new book, "We Don't Like Halloween." She even ordered before I did!! She is still being the supportive teacher he mentioned in his dedication.

Thank you Dr. Sorrels, for being a blessing to my son, Austin.  You will forever be in our hearts, and prayers.

The Noble Thing Has to Wait!!! But I'm Not Scared!!!

Awwww mannnnn, My books I ordered to take to my Barnes and Noble appointment did not come in time. But I'm not worried.  This is my season for God to open doors for me!! Therefore, I'm praising him in advance. Just like Marvin Sapp told me to do. I really love that song. I will inform you when I have a rescheduled date.

Due to a post my 13 year old daughter, Amber Michelle just placed on facebook; I find myself adding another "Good Advice From The Bible".  Although the other two was not directed at her, (it was only advice), this blogg is!!!

Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or course joking, which are out of place, but rather, thanksgiving.

I did not hear my 3rd gift from God use any profanity, but she posted people who did. I hope she understands what I'm trying to teach her, otherwise, she is going to have to learn the hard way.  I should know..................

The Agony Is Going To Finish Me Off!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the agony, I feel right now. My G-baby Janaya just left, I will not be seeing her for a while. :(  Of course she asked me to read her a book, and it was her Uncle Austin's book that she chose.  You know the one with Freddy Fork telling us about his Thanksgiving Day, experience.  However, something strange happened tonight, I opened the book to read to her when she spotted my tablet. Need I say more????.................................................


Hopefully her mother will let me enjoy Janaya on Skype again.

Tonight I will be going to bed with a heavy heart.

Even my daughter Amber says "Her departure is tearing me apart"; and you know how those two fight.

I Didn't Even Make The Cut!!!

Good news for Austin, His "We Don't Like Halloween" book is now available on Amazon books.com.  However, I didn't make the cut. He dedicated his book to his Godmother Brenda A. Thomas (aka "Gaga"), and his 11th grade teacher from Western High School, Dr. Sorrels. But "It's all Good!!" I am so proud of him. I read his book and I thought it was unique and funny. Nooooooo, I am not saying that because he's my son.  I am saying it because it is the truth, and I know little kids will enjoy it!!!  Check out the book description.  I absolutely love this book!!!

NFL Will They Lose, Too? It's Not Even Relative!!

The NFL is not even relative to my books or blogs.  Somehow I have a need to speak about it.
A Redskins quarterback name Robert Griffin III, wore a T-Shirt similar to the one shown below, to a press conference.  Jesus Daily.com, shows a footage where you can plainly see the words on his
 t-shirt before the press conference.  However, during the conference the t-shirt was turned inside out. I guess the NFL is unaware that it is thriving off of the backs of Christians. What do you think will happen once they have gotten rid of all Christians in the NFL?  I'm guessing it will be like the days of Abraham and Lot. When Abraham begged God to spare Lot's city. Abraham was told by God that he would indeed spare the city if it had ten righteous men in it. Needless to say their were not ten righteous men, and the rest is history. God himself said that He changes not. (Malachi 3:6) Will History repeat itself in the NFL?  Better yet lets venture off to America. Will America ruin its status with God; When she finally succeeds in removing God from her Land? Based on Malachi 3:6 and Genesis 18:22-33, that answer is an astounding, "YES!!!.............. NFL and America will end up being losers, if they continue on the wrong path!!!  

Bigger and Better!!!

I have an amazing son! Austin, upon my advice, changed his new book cover. The fruits are now "BIGGER" and "BETTER. "  See for yourself.

Well, What do you think? I like that I can see the fruits with their angry faces.
I love it when my kids take my advice without back talk.

Second Time Around!!!

My son Austin has written his second Children's Book, titled "We Don't Like Halloween".  It is a fun poem about the feelings of fruits when Halloween comes around.  They are pretty angry. They are visited by some interesting characters.  I think this is a must read for children ages 5-11 years.

It's A Noble Thing!!

Good News!!! A Barnes and Noble representative wants to meet with me in a few weeks.  I have to thank my son Austin, his persistence to market my books even though he is in college; is so amazing to me.

Thank You Austin, but most of all Thank you Lord God Almighty for working through Austin.

I will definitely keep you all posted.

Books At Work???!!!

I have good news today, my co-worker, Clara Hite,who is one of my biggest supporters, has requested for me to bring my books to work tomorrow. Yeah!!! God is so Good!!!

Oh snap!! I forgot to ask her which ones. Oh well, I'll take them all and let her choose.

Update: Now it's a new thing no more It's a book thing!!!

My g-baby Janaya, is all about the books today. I'm actually tired of reading, and that 13 year old daughter of mine is no help. Total books so far is 4. Hold on she is handing me The Shape Shifter to read to her again.  I'll be back...............

I'm done reading and now she is having lunch. Boy! I sure hope she is ready for a nap.  Amber has abandoned us both. I can't blame her, she and Janaya were up til 1:00 am fighting. You read it right a 13 year old and a 3 year old up "FIGHTING".  I'm secretly, laughing at Amber, because that is how she used to torture her big brother Austin.  It is a fun weekend seeing her get her payback. (but don't tell her, she has such "thin skin").

Janaya is asking for seconds, gotta go serve the g-baby again. I shall return again..............

"SHE'S HERE!!!"

Yeah!!! My g-baby Janaya is here, and already made her request known over and over again.  Last night I had to read her father's book to her several times. She also requested for me to read her Uncle Austin's book.  I can't wait until the day when I can request my demands her her.  She has no idea that the tables will turn. Hahahaha..........................

Okay, I have to go now.  Janaya just requested for me to read one of  my books title: Cool Miracles From Jesus: The Shape Shifter. Now that's what I'm blogging about!!!

Controversial or Not!!! It's a done deal!!! Thanks to Six Influential Young Ladies!!!

My short research/survey is over.  Due to the responses I received from six women whose comments were so encouraging,Their's simply no need to look any further. Sometimes God will give us confirmation through other people, and I know in my heart He sent these ladies to me.  Therefore, I have to thank Clara Hite, Linda Bonney Olin, Mary Harwell Sayler, Marie Quick, Lucille Arthur Robinson and Shanta Holmes. Halloween, A Sticky Subject!!!

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!!!

I have a controversial question to ask of you.

Can a Christian celebrate Halloween?

After researching its origins, the meaning of the word "Hallow", and of the word "Ween", as well as finding a scripture that would support my findings; my quest has revealed to me that the answer is a shocking, "YES."

Hold your horses!!!, I am not talking about the traditional celebration, but a celebration non-the less.

I asked my son if I should write a children's book revealing the facts, and he said that subject is too controversial. What do you think?
