Second Author chosen First!

My g-baby Janaya, you gotta love the "little traitor." She actually chose the second author in the family book first. My son Austin, wrote a book titled: My Thanksgiving Day. This book is a short poem about Thanksgiving Day as told by a fork named Freddy. To add insult to injury she requested for me to read it to her, which I did over and over again for her.

Gears finally switched!!!

The little pumpkin finally chose my books. Her first choice was Cool Miracles From Jesus: A Disappearing Act. Her second choice was A Cinderella Story: The Book of Esther, third choice was Cool Miracles From Jesus: Peter's Invisible Escape.

It's all about the castles!!

Wow, I can't get my g-baby interested in any books so far. she wants to talk about her castles she made on the beach yesterday. I'll see if she finally comes around after lunch. She requested her meatballs and tater tots again. Well see you after lunch............

Good News!!! may be coming soon!!!

I just received a text from my Uncle Ronnie, saying he would like to support me and buy my book(s). Yeah!!! Praise God!!!

I'll keep you posted.

Not happening today!

My reading session with my g-baby, is not going to happen today. She deserted me to go to the beach with her uncle and aunt, with their dad. Can you believe that? She chose the beach over me and books!!! The little traitor!

Oh yeah I also need to send a.........

SHOUT OUT TO MY SON AUSTIN, WHO IS 19 YEARS OLD TODAY, AND TO MY DADDY, PASTOR TOMMY N. TUCKER, WHO IS 78 YEARS OLD TODAY.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BOTH, ENJOY!!!!

Leviathan, just a hard word to say.

Well they came back from the pool 20 minutes later, according to Austin she was difficult. It's a good thing for Amber that she started making Janaya's meal as soon as they left. She was hungry. We watched The Little Mermaid, and after that guess which book she chose for me to read? Awww...come on I gave you a hint. It was the "GOD MADE THE DINOSAURS AND DRAGONS: ON THE SIXTH DAY", book.

Leviathan, I think, is a hard word for a 3 year old to say, but apparently, Apatosaurus and Behemoth is not.
She has decided she wants to draw or write now(I don't have a clue). However, it is the most beautiful drawing or writing of squiggly lines I have ever seen............

When you like it, you like it!!

Janaya showed up this morning around 7:00 and was full of energy. She ate cereal and began to boss her Aunt Amber around. She finally chose the Dinosaur book again. (still sounds cute trying to pronounce Leviathan). I plan to have her reading before she returns to her Mom. Yes three year old's can read if you spend the time with them. Austin and Amber were reading some words before they were 1 year old.

Janaya is at the pool with her Uncle Austin now. She made her demands to her Aunt Amber to have meatballs and tater tots ready when she gets home. (I told you she likes to boss Amber around.)

I wonder what book she will choose when she returns from the pool.

A New Day!!

Janaya chose two books today. God Made The Dinosaurs And Dragons: On The Sixth Day, and A GI Joe Story. She sounded so cute trying to say the word Leviathan, not quite their yet. However, she pronounced Behemoth, and Apatosaurus perfectly.

She even chose a third book titled: The Adventures Of Janaya And  Me. This book is not complete yet, but that doesn't hinder her from wanting to read it.

I wonder what books she will choose tomorrow.........

It's in the negative family!!

Okay, I asked my beautiful sister who turns 50 tomorrow if I could post her picture on my blog, and it was a  very harsh "NO!"  Can you believe that?
I'm having a flashback to 1966 when I wanted to take her to school for show and tell. Back then the harsh "NO!" came from my Dad. What's with all the negativity?
Can I ever get a yes? It isn't over yet, I'm going to keep trying. Wish me luck.

I saw my g-baby today at my sister's, she was so happy to see me. Oh yeah, I just remembered, I need to rest up for Ms. Hyperactive Busybody. I need to prepare for bed.

Goodnight all!!

50 Yard Line!!

Today I celebrate my sister's, Faith, birthday. she will be fifty today. She doesn't look a day over 30. I'm not exaggerating. She is our 5 of 10. Straight down the middle child. She has the favor of the Lord over her. She is every niece and nephew's favorite, and we have a lot of those. Her birthday is really tomorrow, but we have to celebrate today. I will ask her permission to post a picture and if she says yes, I will show you what I'm talking about.

My weekend was very quiet, I expect to see my g-baby, Janaya today. I had to rest up in order to be ready for our own adventures. You'll know what I'm talking about soon enough.

Well I want to send a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! SHOUT OUT!!! to my sister "FAITH".

Lovely End!

Week ended with a lot of play. Store, restaurant (kudos to Janaya, for behaving very well) pool, and park.
We did not get the chance to open a book today. I guess I have to complete my book experiment on Monday.  Happy Friday.

When you get a chance, check out my books on amazon.com books. Cool Miracles From Jesus, A Hunt For The Truth, A GI Joe Story, A Cinderella Story, and Let's Jingle to Christ, all on paperback.

God Made The Dinosaurs and Dragons: On The Sixth Day on amazon kindle.

Different but wrong choice.

My g-baby, Janaya, chose a different book today. It was however, the wrong book. I say wrong book, because she chose her Dad's unfinished book he decided to write about himself and her. I tried to direct her towards my books, but she wasn't having it. I have only myself to blame, after all, it was I and I alone who showed her the work in progress.

Tomorrow is another day, hopefully she will forget her father's unfinished book and choose one of mine.
Am I just wishfully (Is that even a word?) thinking?

It Takes A Village!

Well at least three people anyway.  I think my g-baby found a way to sneak, in the early, early hours of this morning, and make herself some coffee. Maybe even expresso. How else can the three of us explain the energy she had all day. It was like a tag team wrestling match, with my 13 year old daughter, Amber, taking the first shift. I took the second, and my 18 almost 19 year old son, Austin took the third. The fourth and final shift went to Amber and me.

Consequently, she won today's battle, or should I say wrestling matches.
I guess it's safe to say, "I didn't have this" today.
We need to add more people to our village.
Any volunteers?!!!

Same ole, same ole, same ole, thing.

Day three, g-baby Janaya is still choosing the same book to read over and over. I think I am going to remove Cools Miracles From Jesus: The Shape Shifter from her selection tomorrow. She is napping now. I think I have this "G" thing in the bag.

Round Two. I Got This!

Age over beauty and youth. Round two with my g-baby Janaya, I GOT THIS ONE!!!
We ate breakfast, played, I read her a book. She requested the same one as before. (Cool Miracles From Jesus: The Shape Shifter). Still focusing on the rainbow and purple flowers. We played again, she requested her lunch. Read (same book). Played. Fell asleep on floor under the table. WOW, I missed a candid camera moment. Gotta remember that next time. Still Sleeping!

Like I said, I GOT THIS ONE!!!

Who Knew Books Could Fly: Part Two

Flyers Are Ready!!!

Who knew books could fly???

Coming very soon flyers for my books. YEAH!!!!

Janaya's here, wanted to read Cool Miracles From Jesus: The Shape Shifter. She liked the rainbow and flower pictures the most. I hear her bossing my 13 year old daughter around. I hear the sound of "G" piercing in the air. That's me. Gotta go........... The temporary boss of the house is beckoning me.

The Biggest Loser!!!

The day didn't go as planned. Janaya didn't show up until around 11:00 am. The 1st book she chose for me to read was, A G I Joe Story. Can you believe that?

As far as the battle of the wills, well, hands down Janaya was the winner. That's right the biggest person was the loser. Can you believe that?

It's On: OPERATION NON-STOP

The time is getting closer, my granddaughter will soon be here and I've got a plan to wear her out.
Operation non-stop consist of breakfast, reading time (my books of course), play time indoors, pool, lunch time, playground, home, nap, and daddy. I wonder if this will really work..........

Who's going to win the battle of the wills? "G" (me) or a little 3 year old. I think I have it in the bag.

Going Postal Soon, Hooray!!!

Check out the new post card designed by my son Austin.  Created for my new books.
  He is AWESOME!!!.

Skype: The Love Connection

I have to give it up for Skype. It gave me the love I needed, wanted, and craved.
Nope, it's not what you think.
It is the love I finally received from my granddaughter, Janaya. Every time she visited me, (first from Pittsburgh, Pa, now from Georgia) I had to have props, toys, tablets, and most of all act like a nut, to get her to come to me. Now that I have Skype and have been communicating with her over the past few months; well let's just say I no longer needed anything for my granddaughter to come to me. It was immediately too. No warming up, thanks to SKYPE!!!

Janaya withdrawal...Ughhhhhhh!!!

I'm missing my grand-baby Janaya, wish she was here, she didn't want to stay, wanted her daddy. She loves him so much. Hey! maybe I can convince her dad to write a book about himself and Janaya. Yeah! that's what I'll do. Wish me luck that he'll say okay.

Oh I forgot, Good News Again!!!

My God Made The Dinosaurs and Dragons: On the Sixth Day book is now on Amazon Kindle, and I sold one kindle book. Yeah!!! Praise God!!!

She came, she played she went. :(

Janaya finally arrived around 7:30 pm. She wanted to write on her new stationary first,( figures, she takes after me). Next she played with toys, and an hour later she had to leave. :( HOWEVER, I get to babysit on Monday, YEAH!!!

I will lay out the books and let her choose which one she wants to read first. She is one busy body, I wonder if she will even sit still long enough for me to read to her. Once again time will tell.

Almost Here!!!!

Sleep eludes me. I'm not going to try and go to sleep. Wouldn't do me any good. The clock is moving slowly, tic  tock   tic    tock   tic  tock...... She's almost here, she's almost here, SHE'S ALMOST HERE!!!
I don't know which book to read to her first. Should it be God Made The Dinosaurs and Dragons; On the Sixth Day, or Cool Miracles from Jesus; The Shape Shifter, or A G I Joe Story, or Hunt for the Truth, or one of my coming soon books titled A Cinderella Story; The Book of Esther?
Any ideas anyone? Which one would you choose first???

On The Horizon

Cool Miracles From Jesus

It is my life long dream to present dynamic stories from the Bible in the form of poems and colorful pictures.
I bring a fresh concept to parents who want their children to become interested in Bible Stories.
These "Cool Miracles From Jesus" books are sure to peak their young minds.

I am excited that my granddaughter, Janaya, is visiting me on Saturday. Janaya is one of the main reason I've started writing my books. I can't wait to hear her pronounce the words from my books such as Leviathan, Apatosaurus, and Behemoth.  She is a sweet little three year old, who actually likes to clean up. Somehow, she still manages to leave a mess. She calls me "G", (her idea), (well ,upon my request). I saw her last year for Thanksgiving, and boy she did not become my friend until I let her play with my tablet.  We were best buds after that. I wonder if she will still be my best bud without the tablet. Hmmmm, time will tell.........
